3. Sharing Data with Event Hosts
Because Tixli acts as a ticketing intermediary, when you RSVP or purchase a ticket to an event, your Name and Email Address are securely shared with the Organizer (Host) of that specific event.
This sharing is strictly necessary for the Host to:
- Manage their venue capacity and generate an accurate Guest List.
- Verify your identity and scan your digital ticket at the door.
- Contact you directly regarding critical event updates, cancellations, or venue changes.
By purchasing a ticket on Tixli, you explicitly consent to this transfer of information to the respective Host.
4. Obligations of Event Hosts
Under Tixli's Terms of Service, Event Hosts are considered "Operators" under POPIA. They are legally bound to use your provided Name and Email only for the purposes of managing the specific event you purchased a ticket for. Hosts are strictly prohibited from selling your data or adding you to unrelated marketing newsletters without your separate, explicit consent.
5. Data Security
We have put in place appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. All passwords are cryptographically hashed, and data is transmitted over secure SSL connections.
